Billy Lee Ackerley wrote Find Yourself In Wyoming at his home on Brundage, and in the Sheridan Center Moter Inn restaurant, in Sheridan, WY. He wrote it on 7/12/87.
In 1990, during the 100th anniversery of the State of Wyoming, Billy recorded his Wyoming's Centennial album and included Find Yourself In Wyoming.
A middle school music teacher taught the song to her class, and they sang it in a school show. The writer, Billy Lee Ackerley, was not invited and did not even know about it until later when a student told him. He was saddened by that, because he didn't even get to listen to a performance of his own song. And, he lived right across the street from the school
And, nobody has a video of it.
Find Yourself In Wyoming was written, recorded, copyrighted, produced, and published by Billy Lee Ackerley.
